Back shoulder width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm relaxed at your side.

Arm circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Leave enough ease for comfortable movement.

How to measure for a formal dress

  1. Use a soft measuring tape and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.
  2. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and your feet together.
  3. Measure over lightweight clothing or the undergarments you plan to wear.
  4. Keep the tape level and close to the body without pulling tight.
  5. Write down bust, waist, hips, and hollow to floor before comparing with the size chart.

This dress is beautiful. I am 57, and this hides figure bumps and bulges. It is so comfortable, stays in place while dancing and working at a wedding as mother of bride.
