Measure around the fullest part of your bust while keeping the tape level across your back.

Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Hollow to floor

Measure from the hollow at the base of your neck straight down to the floor while standing barefoot.

Tip: Standard dress length includes extra room for heels. For custom sizing, include your planned heel height.

Back shoulder width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm relaxed at your side.

Arm circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Leave enough ease for comfortable movement.

How to measure for a formal dress

  1. Use a soft measuring tape and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.
  2. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and your feet together.
  3. Measure over lightweight clothing or the undergarments you plan to wear.
  4. Keep the tape level and close to the body without pulling tight.
  5. Write down bust, waist, hips, and hollow to floor before comparing with the size chart.
For bridal party orders, ask everyone to measure on the same day and use the same unit. This helps keep sizing decisions consistent across the group.

This dress was absolutely beautiful and perfect! Lisa was phenomenal with helping me! I initially ordered a 14 and after Lisa requested my measurements the factory sent a 16. The 16 was perfect but I could have succeeded with a 14 since the strings in the back leave you ALOT of adjusting room! But the 16 was the perfect fit if it was a dress with a zip back, kiss prom really does great with measurements!! shout out to Lisa and the team!! I thought I was taking a huge risk ordering a dress off of the Internet, without a dressing room or true view of the dress.. but I'm so glad that I can say I was wrong. The dress is beautifully made and the material isn't cheap. The dress holds some weight and fits perfectly! The color is stunning, thought slightly a brighter red than what the picture shows. Definitely more of a brighter red than a burgundy. But, I love it, and can't wait to show it off at prom!

I love this dress so much. The lace bodice fits so nicely and gives a snatched look on my waist between the transition from the lace to the silk. It’s beautiful and I loved wearing it to prom!
