Measure from the hollow at the base of your neck straight down to the floor while standing barefoot.

Tip: Standard dress length includes extra room for heels. For custom sizing, include your planned heel height.

Back shoulder width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm relaxed at your side.

Arm circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Leave enough ease for comfortable movement.

How to measure for a formal dress

  1. Use a soft measuring tape and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.
  2. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and your feet together.
  3. Measure over lightweight clothing or the undergarments you plan to wear.
  4. Keep the tape level and close to the body without pulling tight.
  5. Write down bust, waist, hips, and hollow to floor before comparing with the size chart.
For bridal party orders, ask everyone to measure on the same day and use the same unit. This helps keep sizing decisions consistent across the group.

I wear a size 12 and normally an 8 but because of my bust and waist measurements I had to order a 12. I was really concerned because my waist measurements exceeded the inches on the size chart but to my surprise it fit perfectly. I will say that if you have smaller breast than what’s indicated on the size chart for the size you choose that may pose a problem. I thought I was going to have to send this dress back but it’s a keeper 😊
