Start with your measurements

Wear close-fitting undergarments and keep the tape level, without pulling it tight.

Measure height and Hollow to Floor barefoot. Start Hollow to Floor at the hollow at the base of your neck; enter heel height separately.

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust while keeping the tape level across your back.

Tip: This is not your bra size. Wear the undergarments you plan to wear with the dress.

Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.

Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Hollow to floor

Measure from the hollow at the base of your neck straight down to the floor while standing barefoot.

Tip: Standard dress length includes extra room for heels. For custom sizing, include your planned heel height.

Back shoulder width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm relaxed at your side.

Arm circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Leave enough ease for comfortable movement.

How to measure for a formal dress

  1. Use a soft measuring tape and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.
  2. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and your feet together.
  3. Measure over lightweight clothing or the undergarments you plan to wear.
  4. Keep the tape level and close to the body without pulling tight.
  5. Write down bust, waist, hips, and hollow to floor before comparing with the size chart.
For bridal party orders, ask everyone to measure on the same day and use the same unit. This helps keep sizing decisions consistent across the group.

I bought this dress in a 16W custom sized from hem to hollow, added a zipper and altered into a tank style sleeveless. I absolutely love the dress and it fit almost perfect. It was just a little big at the shoulders, but most dresses this style are due to my height. I am 5'2, 185 lbs, 36G bust, so you know how to judge your size. My hem to hollow was 54.5 inches and wore with a 2.5-3 inch heel. Everyone loved the dress. Sorry I don't have any consistent lighting, but it's a beautiful color against my skin tone. Their communication was very clear and prompt. They email you to make sure that you have entered the correct information before they start on your customization. I'm so glad they did, because I customized 2 dresses in my order and they questioned it. I made a mistake when I said I wanted one just slighter shorter than the other, when it was actually noted on the longer dress. They email you when your dress ships with tracking information. The dress came rather quickly in my opinion. I placed my order on the 22nd and received it on the 5th. That's only 13-14 days depending if you have 31 days in a month. I will definitely purchase more from them in the future. Thank you for a wonderful product!
