Tip: Standard dress length includes extra room for heels. For custom sizing, include your planned heel height.

Back shoulder width

Measure from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other across your back.

Sleeve length

Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist with your arm relaxed at your side.

Arm circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Leave enough ease for comfortable movement.

How to measure for a formal dress

  1. Use a soft measuring tape and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.
  2. Stand straight with your arms relaxed and your feet together.
  3. Measure over lightweight clothing or the undergarments you plan to wear.
  4. Keep the tape level and close to the body without pulling tight.
  5. Write down bust, waist, hips, and hollow to floor before comparing with the size chart.
For bridal party orders, ask everyone to measure on the same day and use the same unit. This helps keep sizing decisions consistent across the group.

I was looking for a deep navy blue A-line sweetheart gown as a base for customizations. When I saw this one, it checked all of the boxes, except that it was visualized to be more like a teal. When the dress arrived, it was quite different. It’s not sequin, it’s glitter. It’s not teal, but deep saturated navy blue. Even the lace at the back is black, not blue. Despite the glitter that gets everywhere, it is much better than the photos and a lot more of what I was initially looking for and for like a glove. It ended up serving as the perfect base to my dream gown!
